Anyone else having problems w/ Fisher Price IXL Mac Software download?

I have been trying since Christmas day to download the Mac software version for the Fisher Price IXL and have spent at least 2 hours on the phone with Fisher Price and no one can give me an answer as to why it won’t work! So frustrated!! I get the software to download but it won’t open….Fisher Price has now tried to tell me it’s not their problem and I need to talk to Apple! I did talk to Apple and they tell me that they have seen/read about other consumers having the same issue with this product! I really wish they wouldn’t market it as Mac compatible if they can’t get their software right!! Anyone have any suggestions or have a Mac and have the same issue with the IXL??

What I’m looking for is some thing that I can download and install that will monitor all the traffic on a local area network. Some thing that will list all the IP Address and how much bandwidth they are using. PLEASE and one have any ideas.

Software that monitors children’s computer time?

I need some help. I own a piece of software that monitors computer time usage. Our website gets lots of traffic and lots of downloads, but, i’m having a hard time converting trial users to customers. Any suggestions?
I should add that all users can download a free demo version that last 5 days, after that they have to register the software and pay for it. The problem I’m having is that for every 200 downloads I’m only getting 4 or 5 sales. How can I improve that number?

For every 200 downloads I’m getting about 1000 visitors to the website. Out of those 200 download I get 4-5 sales. I think the standard is 2-3% of visitors buy. I converting about .4-.5% into sales if we are looking at visitors to sale ratio.

Ok, I’m splitting my bandwih with my neighbourg and it’s been great but sometimes he starts downloading and it misses up my xbox live gaming. i found a great free software for windows xp called TRAFFIC SHAPER XP that splits the internet, wich is great but he has windows vista. i want to know if this software will work on VISTA or if there is another free software, easy to use that i could use on VISTA.
we both share the same router: speedtouch 581. Also, he has agreed to let me install the software on his pc.

How much exercise and freedom should you let a chinchilla have?

I just got my chinchilla a little less than a month ago and she’s like my little baby I love her to death, but it seems like every time I walk past her cage she sticks her nose out and pretty much presses her entire body up against the door. I feel so guilty, usually I let her out in her ball for a half an hour, and then I just let her free in my bedroom for about an hour or two until I go to bed. She poos everywhere, and tries to eat my books and chews on the wood of my bed, but I still let her and I watch her to make sure she’s not chewing on wires.

But I don’t know if she’s getting too little exercise and too little freedom. She’s all alone and my parents would never let me have another, so I know she needs more attention, but I feel awful when I walk past the cage and she’s begging to come out.

Book Censorship Help?

so i have an english assignment and the assignment is to write a pro and con speech for a law against banning books in school libraries. i already have all 3 of my subtopics for the pro speech (censorship is aginst the first ammendment, teenagers can relate to topics dealing with homosexuality, eating disorders, etc., and books about sex, drugs, crime, prostitution and racism are informational to teens and are vital for intellectual freedom) the speech against book banning in school libraries should be easy for me since i’m totally for it.

i’m really against banning books, but i have to come up with good reasons for book banning in schools. all i can come up with is that its the parent’s right to monitor what their child is exposed to.

if you guys could help me think of 2 other topics that is for banning and censoring books, that would be great! i’m not asking you to do my homework, i just honestly cannot come up with 2 other topics to research and i want them to be good! thanks so much!
well, amanda, i agree with everything you’re saying. but i am required to come up with 3 reasons why we SHOULD ban books, i know its stupid, but i have to do it…sorry for the confusion :/

what do you think of this islamic view to stop adultery and eating disorders?

first of all i’d like to say that islam = peace and all those people who call themselves muslims and torture and kill others are not following the religion of islam. real muslims follow islam which is a religion of peace. the qu’ran is the best psycholgy book you can find. it’s the best that i’ve found and it angers me that other extremists who think they r muslims continue to make real muslims look bad.

let me get to the point now.

people don’t really understand the concept of women covering up and not being in a room alone with men who are not their husband or family. well because as you can see today, everyone thinks that freedom means doing whatever you please. if you think about it.. it isn’t! because if you do whatever you want, it’s not always good and it only comes back to you. karma is very true. the reason we ask women AND men to cover up their parts is not to be sexists or “muslims” it is common sense that today men are cheating on women and women are cheating on men. if you can’t imagine why i will tell you. well think of it this way..

the body acts on the desires of the mind which is boosted by what the eyes see. right? if a man didn’t see another woman’s nakedness or exposure, he wouldn’t be attracted to her physically. you want someone to love you for who you are but yet you only letting them see what you have. a man wouldn’t cheat on his wife if he only saw her nakedness. he will always want her more and cherish her. don’t you think? this is an open debate let me know what you all think of this. well women are also attracted to men sexually and trully if the concept of freedom wasn’t so misunderstood everyone would keep their pride. trust me. the world would be so good and different. suicide rated would be diminished. let’s not forget taht we aren’t the only beings on earth and god isn’t the only one who’s with us. there’s also satan. and he’s still at work. most of the things you may trully think are ur desires could be his desires. just think about it and refuse to be close minded. maybe that exactly what satan wants you to be. just test urself on things and see whether u feel better or not. maybve we have found some resolutions to mental health already cuz like i said before the qu’ran is the best psychology book and the best thing is that it tell you exactly what happened and how it happened. just be open to change.
now this is not some kind of thing to try to convert people or anything. i’m not so religious myself but i try to be sometimes.

and about eating DISORDERS.

again if people we’re so free to show their assets on tv and if the media didn’t have anything to see, they wouldn’t have any preferences. everyone really only needs to see their own and their spouses’ or partners’ for those who aren’t allowed to be legally married with each other. as long as the all accepting god is okay with it, so am i. who says thin women are better lookin than curvy women? the media. and cheating men. think about these things please and our world would be so much better. for more things u wanna say feel free to email me.

Okay I seriously need a freedom check , i’m not allowed to do anything?

My mother is so unnecessarily over protective , like i think she literally doesn’t want me to ever leave the house. I’m 14 i go no were and i mean it, and before you go and say she looking out for your best interest and protecting you, tell me if this wasn’t going to far. I’m really good in math and i got a 98 , i got grounded and i couldn’t leave the house from thanksgiving to Christmas because i can supposedly do better. so every time i as to go chill with friends she says no and then she will go and ask me oh why don’t i go out with my friends or something. I don’t understand how her twisted mind works and all i do when i’m home is go on the computer sleep eat watch TV and read books. now she complaining that i do that to much , Any suggestions on how to boost up my freedom !?

I love birds because they have freedom something I love looking at birds fly. Do you know why? They have freedom they go where they want to go and are stable, they keep good balance and can feel the air everywhere and not worry about the what’s going on down. I always had been craving for a long time to be able to fly like them. I am not a slave, or wish to be one. Its just I want freedom from this world and violence even though I cause so much of it. It’s hard to understand that someone makes violence but wants to break it. I don’t understand and you may not understand. But it keeps me and you thinking for a long time. I am shattered into a tiny million pieces; each piece has a different personality. When you put them together confusion is in your eyes. I am shattered into a million pieces; I have lost who I truly am, and I can’t understand. People always say Believe in your self, never give up, and always stay strong. Their all lifeless words to me, to my ears, and to my eyes. They don’t even know who I am, but only say what they know. What about what I know? But I will not be silent! I was born in vain, and grim. All I know is the end is begging and I will make that happen like a bird that keeps flying and never stops.

Chapter 1

“Jane, Jane wake up we will be late for school again.” Mary said into my ears. My eyes opened slowly I could feel the hot sun pounding on my face. “What time is it?” I said looking at Mary. “Its time to go to school!” She shouted pulling the covers of me. I got up from the bed and hunched to the bathroom. I ironed my hair took my bath, and got dressed. Mary and my mom were in the kitchen. Mom was cleaning the dishes and Mary was eating her breakfast. I sat down next to Mary and ate my toast and egg in silence. I didn’t hear what Mary and mom were talking about because well I was in my own fantasy. Mom turned around and put me and Mary lunch on the table. “Alright have a good day at school you two, behave.” “Ok.” I and Mary said. We walked down to the bus stop at 7: 20. “I really don’t feel like going to school.” Mary said slouching on the bench. I looked at her grimly. “So why the hell did you wake me up so early?” “I don’t know just didn’t feel like being yelled at by the teacher again”. She said sarcastically. I put my legs on the bench and cuddled them. “Put your legs down.” Mary said slapping my hand. “Why?” I asked (I knew why I just wanted to see what she had to say). I find it interesting what she has to say, because she thinks she can overpower me. Mary looked at me grinning. “Because… boys will …” I interrupted her, “I don’t care about boys!” I didn’t mean to say that well I did, I just wanted to overpower her this time. But that didn’t stop her from babbling about why I should never open my legs. Soon the bus was here. I and Mary went on the bus. The bus hurt my ears – well the kids did. Like they were literally screaming and talking like they were in some rally. Mary sat by her friends. I sat in the back as usual. I opened my book bag and took out my “diary.” The bus stopped moving and I looked up and we reached the school. I was the last one to get off. There was a lot of hustling and it was pretty crowded. I nearly had to crawl my way inside.
